Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to support Hartford Public Schools for the 20252026 academic year. This school-based position offers the opportunity to work in a diverse, inclusive environment where student communication development is essential to long-term success.
Position Overview
The selected SLP will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders for K12 students. The role requires collaboration with educators, families, and support teams to ensure students meet their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech, language, fluency, voice, and articulation evaluations

Develop and implement therapy plans based on individual student needs and IEP objectives

Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in individual and group settings

Maintain detailed documentation of services, student progress, and compliance

Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams

Support teachers and families in addressing communication challenges within academic settings
Qualifications

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field

Active Connecticut SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered with supervision

Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred

Must meet all Hartford Public Schools background, fingerprinting, and drug screening requirements
